How Tachiyomi.wiki makes money: affiliate commissions, which links earn them, and what that means for our recommendations.

How this site is funded

Tachiyomi.wiki is a free, independent, unofficial guide site. It costs money to run, and it is funded by affiliate commissions: when a reader clicks certain outbound links on this site and later buys something, the seller may pay us a small commission. That commission never changes the price you pay.

Which links are affiliate links

Affiliate links on this site go through our /go/ redirect links or are marked as sponsored. The programs we currently use or are preparing include:

  • Amazon Associates — links to tablets, e-readers, accessories and physical manga on Amazon use the tag oliver062-20. As an Amazon Associate, this site earns from qualifying purchases.
  • VPN services — sponsored links to Surfshark, NordVPN and ExpressVPN in our VPN guide.
  • Courses — sponsored links to Domestika in our learn-Japanese and drawing guides.
  • Import stores — sponsored links to CDJapan for Japanese manga and merchandise.
  • Cloud backup — sponsored links to pCloud and Backblaze in our library backup guide.

Not every outbound link earns us anything. In particular, we recommend the official manga apps (such as MANGA Plus, VIZ / Shonen Jump, BookWalker, Azuki and Manga UP!) because they are the legal way to read — none of them pays us a commission, and their links here are plain links.

Download links are not sales

Download buttons for Tachiyomi and Mihon point to app files: official GitHub releases for Mihon, a third-party archive page (Uptodown) for the discontinued Tachiyomi, and clearly labeled unofficial mirrors (Terabox). We do not sell apps — Tachiyomi and Mihon are free and open source — and we do not earn commissions from app downloads.

Editorial independence

Commissions do not buy placement or verdicts. Where we compare products, we say what we would use and why, and we mark sponsored links as sponsored. If a program ends, we remove or replace its links.
